This 2014 release that runs 102 minutes is a worthy successor to"300"reviewed earlier on this blog.Forget history and hang on for a bloodiest of FX violence and scenes like a horse galloping from ship to ship in a film about sea battles that was unexpected after 300 which was a land battle. The actors are fine including two favorites of mine, Sullivan Stapleton as Themistocles and Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo amongst many others and a few surprises from the first film. All in all a guilty bloody pleasure.Trailer follows the picture and a IMDB summary is below.Maybe a sequel ???
Greek general Themistokles leads the charge against invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
